Department of Ophalmology was eslablished in 1979 at the clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy, is located on third floor of the first building. There are 28 beds in the department, 20 of them are budgetary, 8 paid.

The main activity of the department is to provide highly specialized ophtalmologic care to all patients from the regions of Uzbekistan and the countries of the CIS. Professors, assistants and doctors of the highest category are engaged in the development of the latest treatment methods and their implementation into practice.

The department is the base of the Tashkent Medical Academy and is located in a multi-profile clinic, thereby patients are provided with necessary medical consultation. The head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor E.N. Bilalov, conducts professorial examinations of patients.

Primary patients are examined by a high-class ophthalmologist in room 3 of the cosultation clinic located in building 5 and hospitalized if necessary. Hospitalized patients undergo the following examinations in the ward:
