 The blood transfusion department began its activities in 1977.

 

The department is located on the 1st floor of the 7th building and consists of 2 operating rooms, 2 preoperative rooms, 2 laboratory rooms and 8 auxiliary rooms.

The staffing table of the department:• head of the department - 1 unit.• doctor transfusiologist or therapist - 3 units.• doctor, laboratory assistant - 2 units.• head nurse - 1 unit.• nurse - 16.5 units.• cleaning woman - 8.0 units.            The blood transfusion department is administered by a head, who in turn is subordinate to the head physician, the deputy head physician for medical affairs and the deputy head physician for surgical affairs.            The employees of the department conduct their functional duties based on the orders of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, items of SanPiN No. 0343-17.            The staff of the department, together with the head, are responsible for the timely provision of components and blood products to patients treated in the clinic.The head, the department staff, the head nurse and the hostess sister are responsible for the collection of blood from donors, its processing, and are also responsible for the flawless operation and safety of medical equipment in the laboratory rooms.From 2001 to the present day, the department is headed by Urinov Akhmad Khabibullaevich, a transfusiologist of the highest category.

The blood transfusion department is responsible for the preparation of blood products for patients treated in the clinic on the basis of the work plan approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republican Center for Blood Transfusion. The main tasks of the center consist of: • preparation of whole blood from donated blood.• preparation of plasma from donated blood.• preparation of erythrocyte mass.• preparation of 3-5 times washed erythrocytes.• preparation of fresh frozen blood plasma.• production of isohemagglucinating standard serum for determining the blood group according to the ABO system.• preparation of creopreceptat.• determination of the blood group and Rh factor according to the ABO system of donors who donated blood.• preparation of platelet mass.• preparation of leukocyte mass.In the department for patients of the clinic, a round-the-clock provision of components and blood products is organized.For pregnant women being treated in the maternity complex of the clinic, a separate refrigerator is allocated to provide them with blood and its components. A sufficient amount of blood and its components is also provided.The blood transfusion center provides methodological assistance to patients in determining the blood group and Rh factor.
