The Department of Plastic Surgery was established in 2008 on the basis of the Second Clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy. The department is located on the 5th floor of the 8th building and consists of 10 beds.

In a hospital environment, operations are carried out that are associated with improving the appearance (aesthetic) or with the elimination of defects, deformations, functional disorders resulting from injuries and diseases (reconstructive and restorative).

Doctors of the Department of Plastic Surgery provide assistance to patients with aesthetic defects in appearance, age-related and physiological changes in the bone and soft tissue structures of the face and body: deformities of the face, jaws, nose, upper and lower eyelids in order to restore the lost aesthetic proportions of the appearance and improve the quality of life of patients. They also help patients with various diseases and consequences of injuries of the maxillofacial region, patients who need to perform various reconstructive and plastic surgeries. Help is provided with the aim of restoring lost functions, replenishing tissue defects and improving the quality of life of patients.

Doctors working in the department are also engaged in the development, implementation, methodological support and practical application of the latest medical technologies in the field of maxillofacial surgery, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

An important advantage of the department is its location on the basis of a multidisciplinary surgical clinic and relies on its material and technical base. This ensures comprehensive safety and the provision of all types of medical care, which is especially important for plastic surgery.

The Department of Plastic Surgery is the clinical base of the course of dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. The department employs: the head of the department – plastic surgeon, doctor of medical sciences, professor Boymuradov Sh.A., doctor - maxillofacial surgeon Alieva U.A., also PhD, plastic surgeon Yusupov Sh.Sh., senior course teacher, maxillofacial surgeon Normuratov B.K., course assistant, plastic surgeon Nigmatov I.O.

The department has a dressing room, a treatment room, a nurse's post, an operating room equipped with everything necessary for all types of reconstructive and aesthetic surgical interventions. The department has single, double and triple wards, as well as superior rooms equipped with TVs,. air conditioners, refrigerators.

 

In the Department of Plastic Surgery, the following types of operations are performed:

Aesthetic:

facelift, SMAS-plastic of the face and neck;

frontotemporal lifting;

browlifting;

removal of Bisha's lumps;

chin lipasuction;

lipofilling of the face;

chin plastic (mentoplasty);

bone grafting (reduction or increase in the volume of the upper and lower jaw, zygomatic bone, etc.)

plastic surgery of the eyelids (upper, lower and circular blepharoplasty);

plastic nose (rhinoplasty);

auricle plastic (otoplasty);

lip plastic (cheiloplasty, bulhorn);

body contouring (liposuction, lipofilling);

combined, combined and simultaneous plastic surgery.

Reconstructive:

removal of scars;

elimination of post-burn scars and deformities;

reconstructive rhinoplasty (for defects in soft tissues of the nose of various origins);

reconstructive otoplasty (for ear defects of various origins);

recheiloplasty;

elimination of post-traumatic orbital wall defects using an implant;

elimination of post-traumatic deformities of the bones of the middle zone of the face;

elimination of post-traumatic deformities of the upper and lower jaw;

removal of foreign bodies in the maxillofacial region;

removal of benign tumors of the maxillofacial region.
